Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026. This policy explains what data the Pokepedia apps (Android and iOS) process, why, and how you can exercise your rights. Some features exist only on Android for now; each section says so. The apps have no sign-up or account: almost everything you do (teams, notes, game progress, settings) stays on your phone.
1. Who is responsible
Pascual Rodriguez Gorrita (self-employed individual). Contact: support@pascualgorrita.com.
2. Data that stays on your device
Teams, favourites, progress in games and tools, preferences and the state of your purchase are stored locally. We do not receive them. If you clear the app's data or uninstall it, they are deleted.
3. Ads
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. On Android, AdMob also mediates with Unity Ads and Liftoff (Vungle); on iOS, only AdMob is used. These providers may use your device's advertising ID and technical data (IP address, device model, language) to serve and measure ads, and may personalise them if you consent. Where required, the app shows Google's consent form (UMP) and you can change your choice later. You can also reset or disable the advertising ID in Android settings. On iOS, the app asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before using the advertising identifier for tracking; if you decline, ads are not personalised through tracking, and you can change this in iOS Settings. Removing ads with the purchase described below removes them.
4. Google / Firebase services
- Firebase Analytics: aggregated, anonymous usage statistics to improve the app.
- Firebase Remote Config: downloads operating settings.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: notifications, if you allow them.
- Firebase App Check (Play Integrity, Android): checks that requests to our server come from a genuine copy of the app. A token generated by Google Play Services is sent for this.
- Crash reports: On Android, Google Play collects app crashes (Android vitals) if you have diagnostic data sharing enabled; on iOS, Apple provides the developer with crash reports only if you share analytics with app developers.
5. “Remove ads” purchase (Android only for now)
Payment is handled by Google Play; Pokepedia does not receive your payment details. The app asks Google Play whether you own the purchase, to enable it and to disable it if it is refunded.
6. PokeGalaxy (optional, Android only for now)
PokeGalaxy is a public galaxy of supporters for those who bought “Remove ads”. Taking part is voluntary. If you join:
- We send to our server (Google Firestore, in our own Firebase project): the nickname you choose, your ball level and the Google Play purchase token, plus the date of the request.
- The token is stored in a private collection that only we can access, solely to verify with Google Play that the purchase is valid and still active (for example, after a refund). It is never published.
- What other people see is only your nickname, your ball level and a public identifier derived from the token with an irreversible hash. No Google account data is published.
- Every nickname is reviewed before it is shown. You can see the status of your request in the app and, if rejected, try again up to 3 times.
- Any user can report a nickname. The report includes the reason and a random installation identifier to limit abuse, not your identity.
Age. To join you must be 14 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian. The app is not directed at children under 13.
How to leave and how long data is kept. You can withdraw from the app at any time: your nickname stops being shown and the token is deleted. After withdrawing you must wait one week to join again. If the purchase is refunded, your entry is removed. If you want any other data about you deleted, write to us.
7. Data downloaded by the app
The app downloads game data (for example lists and updates) from our servers. Those requests reveal your IP address and the usual technical data of any connection.
8. Fusion reports
If you choose to email a report about a fusion, the message goes to pokepedia.fusions@gmail.com with whatever you include (for example a screenshot). It is used only to fix the content.
9. Legal basis and sharing
We process PokeGalaxy data with your consent (the checkbox in the form) and verify the purchase under our legitimate interest in preventing fraud. We do not sell your data. It is only shared with the providers named above (Google, Unity, Liftoff) so they can provide their services, and with authorities where the law requires it.
10. Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to support@pascualgorrita.com. If you are not satisfied with the answer you may complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD, aepd.es).
11. Third-party links
The app may contain links to other websites. We have no control over them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
12. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising, and has no forms or accounts. It loads its font from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when you visit it. If you write to us by email, we use your address only to reply.
13. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above and, if the change is significant, notify you in the app.
